Test Innovators Scholarships

Independent School Tuition Scholarship

Test Innovators is committed to helping students grow and improve as they prepare for the ISEE and SSAT.

Each year, we award six merit-based scholarships to students with the greatest score improvements. Recipients of the Independent School Tuition Scholarship will be given $1,000 (USD) towards tuition at their new school.

Applications are due by May 31, 2024, 11:59 PM PT. Winners will be notified by email on June 10, 2024.

—Eligibility—

To be considered you must:

  1. have a Test Innovators practice account for either the ISEE or SSAT
Note: Free accounts are not eligible
  2. complete the application
  3. provide (2) official score reports for the ISEE or SSAT
    The two score reports must:
    1. be between April 1, 2023 and March 31, 2024
    2. be for the same test (i.e., one ISEE score report and one SSAT score report will not be an eligible entry)

—Selection Process—

Three ISEE students and three SSAT students will be selected based on score improvement.
To measure improvement, overall test percentile scores will be used. For the ISEE, this will be calculated as the average of all section percentiles.

Students will be granted scholarships based on overall score improvement (percentile point increase between official tests) and greatest percent possible score improvement (for instance, with a starting test score in the 90th percentile, the highest possible increase is 9 percentile points. A student then achieving the 99th percentile on the subsequent test would be ranked at 100% for the purposes of our scholarship. If that student achieved the 98th percentile, they would be ranked at 8/9 or 89% for the purposes of our scholarship.)

Ties will be broken by random selection.

—Additional Information—

Students who are awarded a scholarship will not be eligible for concurrent Test Innovators scholarships or for future Test Innovators scholarships.

The $1,000 scholarship award can be used towards 2024-25 school year tuition only.

Regina Scholarship

My grandmother was born in Poland in 1921 and by the age of 19 was a refugee fleeing the Nazis and their Holocaust. It was the kindness of fellow people and the stand they took that kept her alive. Before she passed in 2012, she told me that before anything else – be a good person. It is times like these that we must ask ourselves what it means to be a good person.

Test Innovators (testinnovators.com) is officially a Regina organization, named after my grandmother. As such, we believe that fear is the mechanism for the spread of unjust policy and we will not succumb to it. We believe in the inherent kindness and goodness of people. Lastly, we stand against any unethical or immoral action, even if it is deemed legal.

We will provide our materials for free to people from Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen. We believe that the responsibility of educating humans transcends national borders and enmity between governments. Please contact our team to inquire about this scholarship.

From Mahdi, a Regina Scholar from Iran:

“Thank you and I am very excited and I hope the best happens to you.

And I want to present you a poem by Saadi:

All human beings are in truth akin.

All in creation share one origin,

When fate allots a member pangs and pains.

No ease for other members then remains,

If, unperturbed, another’s grief canst scan.

Thou are not worthy of the name of man.”

We ask others to join us.
